Fast tracked
Fastracked is a term used by ch7 Australia where they would bring the latest episodes of show X from the U S of A to our tv's around 1 - 2 weeks from being aired there. I thought this was great as I was happy to wait that long to watch it instead of getting it by other means.
What I don't understand is how long we have to wait to see Tom Hank's new epic show The Pacific. It's been out now in the US for over 4 weeks now and we are only just seeing Coming Soon advertisements on ch7.
Sure, we're behind the times here and Australians get use to this so people end up using websites like eztv.it and thepiratebay.org and the tv stations suffer through lost advertising revenue. But when a show like The Pacific was actually part produced by Network Seven Australia why is it taking us so long to see it on our tv's in High Definition. We should be seeing it within 48hours of it being broadcast in the states!
Come on 7, pull your ass out and get with the times so you don't lose out on that advertising revenue when you've put so much into it.
*note: this information is going on what i've read on wikipedia about The Pacific and ch7 being involved.
